The Senior Consultant, Learning and Leadership Development plays a critical role in empowering the people who power Notre Dame as the leader of NDHR’s strategy for the training and professional development of people leaders and aspiring people leaders at the University of Notre Dame. From signature programs to innovative new learning opportunities, the Senior Consultant will identify, propose, curate, and improve learning programs to develop and support current and future people leaders across the University. As a curious, creative, and collaborative member of the Learning and Leadership Development team, this individual will bring their professional expertise to consultations, initiatives, and projects within HR and across the University. The programs and resources developed by the Senior Consultant will align with the University values to advance the creation of culture at the University of Notre Dame and help current and future people leaders bring out their champions.

- Develop and execute a strategy for the training and professional development of people leaders and aspiring people leaders at the University of Notre Dame. Identify, propose, and curate new learning opportunities to fill gaps in people leader learning and development at ND, including a people leader learning path and an aspiring people leader learning path.
- Steward signature ND learning programs associated with the designated target audience (people leaders and aspiring people leaders), including Living Notre Dame’s Values and Better Conversations Every Day.
- Identify, assess, develop, and curate online learning content for the designated target audience (people leaders and aspiring people leaders), including ND-specific content and external partner-produced content (Udemy.)
- Facilitate selected University learning programs & team development sessions.
- Partner with colleagues on the new People, Strategy, and Culture team as the liaison between the Learning & Leadership Development team and one of the verticals.
- Build relationships and develop collaborative partnerships with colleagues in NDHR and across the University. Consult on learning and development questions for people leaders and aspiring people leaders.
- Develop and foster strong, collaborative relationships with external learning and development partners providing content and programs relevant to the designated target audience (people leaders and aspiring people leaders.)
- Communicate and promote people leader and aspiring people leader-related learning programs and resources, including the learning paths, to attract target audience participants and maximize enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 2 years of learning and development-related experience
- Demonstrated independent thinking, leadership, & decision-making in the leadership of significant, high-impact programs
- Outstanding facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues in all roles and at all levels
- Ability to create, maintain, and support successful partnerships and promote and foster collaboration and teamwork.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategy; set goals and meet them.
- Independent, proactive, and organized work ethic
- Spirit of curiosity and a growth mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of learning and development experience preferred
- Proven ability to design and execute people leader programs
